Ghana Black Stars: Asamoah Gyan’s take on the search for a new coach - CastinoStudiosgh |
Ghana’s all-time pinnacle scorer, Asamoah Gyan, has said the Black Stars need a coach who is disciplined in making his personal choices and now no longer permits the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to dictate to him.
According to him, the Black Stars having a strict coach will elevate the national team to the top level again and boost their confidence to enhance the quality of the team.
The Ghana FA is on the look for a brand new head coach following Otto Addo’s decision to renounce his position as the head coach after the Black Stars’ early exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Chris Hughton and James Kwasi Appiah are the various coaches who're inquisitive about the vacant position with the latter in search of a 3rd spell in charge of the team.
“You can take an inexperienced coach however ensure he knows the game, a person who will make the players understand his philosophy,” he added.
Someone who can take charge, now no longer a person who takes orders, you need to be strict and take charge of what you're doing,” Gyan added.
A new head coach is predicted to be named earlier than the
Black Stars regroup for the subsequent round of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
