Kwadwo Akwaboah, a highlife artist from Ghana, passed away this morning in a hospital in Kumasi.
His son, Gladstorm Akwaboah, who is also a singer and goes by the name Akwaboah in modern Ghanaian music, announced his death.
He died early on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, according to sources.

Akwaboah posted a picture of his father on Facebook along with the message, "RIP DADDY."
'Awerekyekyere' and 'Hini Me' are a couple of Kwadwo Akwaboah's well-known songs.
