medalist Joseph Commey, Olympic bronze medalist Samuel Takyi, and rising

the men's Bantamweight final, dispatching Zambia's Mwale Mengo with ease to
claim Ghana's third gold medal of the night.
In a thrilling finale, Samuel Takyi faced off against Zambia's Emmanuel
Katema in the light welterweight final. Despite fierce resistance, Takyi
demonstrated his resilience and skill, overcoming a stumble in the third round
to secure victory and add another gold to Ghana's tally.
The Black Bombers' stellar performance on Friday marked a historic
achievement, with Ghana clinching the highest number of gold medals in a single
day at any African Games Boxing competition. Moreover, it was a record-breaking
feat for Ghana, as they notched up the most gold medals ever won by the country
in a single African Games competition.
