Godfred Abuku Amewuga was born to Mr. Jerry Jey Abuku and Mrs. Regina Abuku at Suaman Dadieso in the Western North of Ghana.
He is originally from Akatsi-Xavi in the Volta Region and he completed his basic School education at St. Stephen's Academy in the year 2020.
Godfred Abuku Amewuga Started music at a very young age as a gospel singer but started doing it professionally in the year 2014 when he changed from being a gospel musician to Afropop, Dancehall, Drill and Highlife musician.
Godfred who is popularly known by his stage name “Yaw Gee” decided to stop education after his basic education and get into the full-time music business.
Both of his parents have been supportive, encouraged him, and assisted him financially to realize his dreams.
Yaw Gee is currently signed on to a record label known as Black Boi Records.
