The Deputy Minister for Finance, Dr. John Kumah, has tragically passed away at the age of 45.

The Member of Parliament for Ejisu departed in the early hours of Thursday, March 7, following a short bout of illness.

He departs leaving behind a rich legacy as a committed family man, survived by his spouse, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, and their six offspring.

Noteworthy is Dr. Kumah's tenure as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), where his pivotal contributions elevated NEIP to a prominent position within Ghana's entrepreneurship landscape.

Under his stewardship, NEIP provided training to 7,000 emerging ventures in 2018 through the Presidential Business Support Programme, extending financial assistance to 1,350 beneficiaries.

Before his governmental tenure, Dr. Kumah co-founded and served as the Managing Partner of Aduaprokye Chambers, a legal firm, and established Majak Associates Ltd, specializing in construction and development.

Aside from his professional accolades, Dr. Kumah was lauded for his academic feats, which include a Doctorate in Business Innovation from the Swiss Business School in Switzerland and a Master's degree in Applied Business Research.

He also attained an Executive Master's degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Dr. Kumah's educational voyage commenced at the University of Ghana, where he obtained Bachelor's degrees in Economics coupled with Philosophy and Law, culminating in his admission to the Ghana Bar in 2013.

Characterized as an entrepreneur, legal practitioner, statesman, and preacher, Dr. Kumah perceived his myriad roles as a divine vocation to serve humanity.
