Ghanaians react to Finance Minister’s statement on contribution for a national cathedral - CastinoStudios

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Attah yesterday at the floor of Parliament to present a mid-year budget said his office has considered seeking the support of one million Ghanaians to contribute GHC 100 a month for the completion of a National Cathedral.

This statement hasn't gone down well with most Ghanaians.

CASINO STUDIOS spotted a vox pop on the statement by Joy News, with many reacting angrily to the planned request by the government to raise funds from people already going through hardships as a result of bad governance.

“I'm not going to pay. Why should I pay for this? With all that, we are going through? Look at how our businesses are falling and you want us to pay for the cathedral, Cathedral for what? Said one of the people in the vox pop.
