The Serbian coach took charge of his first game since his re-appointment as the coach of the national team and did not take long to impress spectators.

Despite scoring just a goal in the first half, through kudus Mohammed in just 5 minutes into the game, the Black Stars put up a better display than they had in the past games.

However, the team’s inability to extend their lead came back to haunt them temporarily as their opponents equalized just a few minutes into the second half through a penalty kick in the 49 minutes by knowledge Musona, captain of the Zimbabwean Team.

The equalizer triggered a couple of changes from coach Milovan Rajevac, including the introduction of Baba Iddrisu and he has explained the thinking behind the substitution.

“We faced some difficulties in the second half because it was so difficult to defend the second balls that’s why I introduced Baba Iddrisu to solidify the defense”, coach Milo Rajevac said in his post-match conference.

Following the 3-1 victory in Cape Coast yesterday, the Black Stars are now just a point behind South Africa and will seek to close that gap when they travel to play the same opponent on Tuesday.

There were goals from Mohammed Kudus 5 minutes into the game, Thomas Partey 66 minutes into the game, and Andre Ayew  87 minutes into the game as Ghana defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 on Saturday evening in the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Although Knowledge Musona on 49 minutes into the game equalizes to draw level for Zimbabwe, Thomas Partey and Andre Ayew, later on, powered Ghana to secure a vital 3-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes which placed Ghana at second position in Group G with 6 points, South Africa leading with 7 points, Ethiopia at third position with 3 points and Zimbabwe becoming the last with just a point (1).
