Prominent South African musician Costa Titch collapsed and died on stage.

Costa Tsobanoglou, known professionally as Costa Titch, the rapper of "Big Flexa," died while thrilling fans during Saturday's Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg, sources said.

In videos circulating the internet, the singer fainted during a performance but continued singing after being picked up by his bodyguard.

However, he falls a second time and has to be taken away from the stage.

South African media personality Phil Mphela confirmed the news on Twitter late Saturday night, 11th March 2023.

Mphela tweeted: "RIP: Costa Titch. Nelspruit-born artist and dancer, real name Costa Tsobanoglou, has died. He was 27 years old.

Titch was famous for his contribution to the Amapiano genre with hits like "Big Flexa", "Nkalakatha" and "Activate".

The rising star recently signed to Akon's Konvict Kulture label.

He was in Ghana last December where he gave an energetic performance to the patrons at Bhim Concert.

Costa's death is another huge loss for the South African music industry after colleague Kiernan Forbes(AKA) was shot dead in February.
